Empire Today, LLC is a home improvement and home furnishing company. It was founded in 1959 by Seymour Cohen as Empire Carpets. Empire is headquartered in Northlake, Illinois. The company specializes in flooring installation, window and bath treatments and renovation, and sells numerous related products. Empire Today is the largest company in furnishing industry in the United States and Canada and it was named the top flooring retailer in the US. The company is famous for making personal sales phone calls and rapid installation. Empire provides hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, ceramic flooring and many other services.

In 2002 Empire Carpets was purchased and incorporated and became Empire Today.
